Peter Cullen, who voiced characters in Winnie The Pooh and Transformers has died aged 85.
The voice of Eeyore and Optimus Prime died surrounded by his family, his death was confirmed by his agent and family.
The late voice actors agent read a statement from Cullen's family: "Peter Cullen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family – and held in the hearts of his many friends and countless fans worldwide. His family asks that you honour his remarkable legacy by serving your communities and leading others with compassion, integrity, and loyalty and always remember, be strong enough to be gentle."
Cullen was the voice of Eeyore in the cartoon series The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which ran from 1988-1991. Cullen also featured in a number of films that included the character.
He was also the voice of the character Optimus Prime in the 1980s 'Transformers' TV show and the spin-off 1986 film 'The Transformers: The Movie'. Cullen also featured as the character in all of the recent film and TV 'Transformers' projects.
Back in 2023, Cullen won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Children's and Family Emmy Awards.
