Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she wants to be a “sexy mom” as she opens up about motherhood and launches her own haircare brand.
The Hunger Games star, 36, spoke to The Cut about her new business, mes° beauty, and explained why having good hair makes such a difference to how she feels about herself.

“I feel like if my hair looks okay, then nobody's gonna notice anything else about my face, clothes or body,” she said.
But the Oscar-winning actress had an even more relatable reason for wanting to look her best.
“I want to be a sexy mom,” she told the magazine. “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s--t together even when I’ve just woken up and don't have my s--t together.”

Lawrence shares two children with her husband, art gallery director Cooke Maroney. The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Cy, in 2022, before welcoming their second child in 2025. They have kept details about their youngest child private.
The actress has previously spoken about how becoming a mother changed her outlook on life and her career.
In an interview with Vogue after the birth of her first child, she described the experience as life-changing, saying she felt as though her life had started over.
She has also been candid about the challenges of balancing motherhood with work, admitting that deciding whether to take on a project can involve weighing up the time she would spend away from her children.

Lawrence recently brought that same candid humour to Instagram, joining the platform in September after years of keeping her distance from social media.
In her first video, she warned her new followers that she would not stick around if they were mean to her.
“So yeah, I am giving it a shot, and if anyone says anything negative, I will quit immediately, no questions asked,” she said.
“If anyone thinks something mean, I'll know. I'll know, and I'll quit.”

She followed up with an equally funny message on her Instagram Story, writing: “Please be mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby.”
She then clarified: “It's me. I'm the baby.”
The post quickly caught fans' attention, with many welcoming the actress to the platform and praising her for being so honest about her feelings towards online criticism.

Now, Lawrence is taking on a new challenge with the launch of mes°, a haircare brand she developed in partnership with beauty company Arcaea.
The range launched on October 27 and includes three products: a repair mask, a restyling serum and a volumising mist. The idea grew out of Lawrence's own experiences with hair styling throughout her acting career, during which repeated treatments and long hours in the makeup chair took their toll.

She worked closely on the products' development and has said she wanted to create haircare that fits into everyday life, rather than requiring an elaborate routine.
The brand is also a personal project for the actress, who admitted to The Cut that putting something new into the world can be nerve-racking.
