Boyband royalty met up in the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday night, as Niall Horan showed up at Westlife’s show in Royal Albert Hall.

Shane, Nicky and Kian performed two huge gigs at the London theatre alongside the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, to kick off their 25th anniversary celebrations.

With the lads donning their monkey suits for the two gigs, they were joined by family and colleagues in the dapper concerts — with Mullingar’s Niall Horan appearing backstage alongside Shane, Nicky and Kian.

Shane shared a great photo of the trio and Niall sharing a laugh, with the foursome smiling for the camera backstage — with Shane posting on his Instagram story ‘great craic with @NiallHoran.’

Niall, of course, is also a part of pop music and boyband royalty, being part of One Direction, before branching out to his solo career — releasing three solo albums.

As for Westlife, they’re set to enjoy a huge residency in Dublin’s 3Arena ahead of their 25th anniversary, with the band set to play a whopping 13 dates in the arena next September before heading to the SSE arena in Belfast.

While Shane, Nicky and Kian will be returning to the stage, fans have noticed that the band will be without Mark Feehily — who had to depart touring with the band due to health issues. However, they confirmed that Mark was still a part of the band, and is a part of their new music.

‘Mark is on the new music,’ Shane confirmed at a press conference on Friday. ‘Look, it’s unfortunate he’s unable to join us, you know. We love Mark, and we can’t wait to have him back whenever he’s ready.

‘But the good news is, he’s on the new music, and one of the [singles] is coming out next week, which is such a great song — I think everyone in Ireland’s gonna love it — but we hope to have him back when he’s ready. That’s just unfortunately how it is at the moment.’

Announcing the tour earlier this month, Shane, Kian, and Nicky said that there’s ‘no better feeling than coming home to Dublin.

‘This city has been at the heart of our story from the very beginning, and to kick off our 25th anniversary celebrations at the 3Arena feels incredibly special.’
