Britney Spears' Long Time Manager Resigns After Singer Voiced Plans To "Officially Retire"

Britney Spears' longtime manager, Larry Rudolph has reportedly handed in his resignation after hearing that Spears is planing to "officially retire".

A letter was published earlier today by Deadline, which was written by Rudolph, addressed to Britney Spears' co-conservators Jodi Montgomery and Jamie Spears. In the later, it was claimed that Rudolph had not been in contact with Britney Spears in over "2 1/2 years". This led to his decision to resign as her manager, following 25 years in the job.

The letter read, “Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire".

The letter also said, “And as her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed".

Rudolph also explained  that he was never a part of the conservatorship or its operations. He added that his work had been catered towards her career.

"Baby...One More Time"

As mentioned already, Rudolph had worked with Spears for 25 years, well before the singer had her first hit "Baby...One More Time" in 1999. He remained as her manager when the conservatorship started in 2008. He temporarily stepped away from the role between 2007 and 2008.

“I will always be incredibly proud of what we accomplished over our 25 years together", he concluded in the letter. “I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I’ll be there for her if she ever needs me again, just as I always have been".

This news comes after it was confirmed last week that Britney Spears' request to have her father Jamie Spears removed from the conservatorship was denied by a judge at the LA Superme Court.

In the hearing, Britney had called the conservatorship controlling and abusive. She claimed that she was not allowed to have anymore children, get married or take out her IUD.

It had also been reported that on the eve of her testimony, Spears had called 911 to report the abuse of her conservatorship. Her team had been “texting one another frantically… worried about what Spears might say the next day, and they discussed how to prepare in the event that she went rogue”.

Her former family friend, Jacqueline Butcher said that the process to establish this conservatorship took "maybe 10 minutes".

"No one testified" she added.  “No questions were asked".
