David Guetta has been crowned The World's No1 DJ, 14 years after he first won this title.
This was announced by DJ Magazine who have confirmed the results of the Top 100 DJs 2025 at live awards ceremony at UNVRS in Ibiza. It is Guetta's fifth win overall, with his previous wins coming in 2011, 2020, 2021, and 2023. This win places him alongside DJ legends Armin Van Buuren and Martin Garrix.
Guetta was presented this award by host Arielle Free, who also recognised other artists on the night, including Armin van Buuren who received awards for The World’s No.1 Trance DJ and Outstanding Contribution, while Michael Bibi was named Highest New Entry. Additional winners included Sara Landry (The World’s No.1 Hard DJ), Jazzy (Future Star), and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike (The World’s No.1 DJ Group).
David Guetta is a DJ who continues to push boundaries, despite being more than four decades in the music business, releasing a new single per month for the past year, with his 2025 releases covering multiple genres, collaborating with Martin Garrix, Afrojack, Sia, as well as a remix for K pop group, Huntr/x.
He has also continued to thrill audiences on stage, including his recent UNVRS residency, titled Galactic Circus, running from June to October. This set featured improvisational sets. He also began an international tour, The Monolith, which has included shows in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, and the Stade de France in Paris. He also headlined Longitude at Marlay Park earlier this summer.
“To win Top 100 DJs again, for a joint-record fifth time, is an honour. The greatest feeling in my life, truly, is playing new music for people and seeing their reactions.” He emphasized his dedication to creativity, noting that he continues to make music daily out of passion", Guetta said of his latest achievement.
DJ Mag also hosted a fundraiser for Bridges for Music, who are a non profit organisation supporting underserved youth in South Africa through music and entrepreneurship, which raised £149,442 at the time of writing.
