Spandau Ballet are set to reunite for a comeback tour.
According to reports in The Mail on Sunday, this comeback tour is to is to include all members of the original line up, who are in talks with agents and a deal is reportedly close.
After years of legal battles, and public quarrels, Spandau Ballet who are renowned for hits 'True' and 'Gold' among others, are to follow on from Oasis' major reunion tour last year, which generated over £400 million in ticket sales.
Spandau Ballet were founded in 1979, before their acrimonious in 1990, with Hadley and Keeble launching a case in the High Court against Gary Kemp, where they demanded of share of his songwriting royalties. They eventually lost the case.
According to one source in the music industry, talks have "gone better than anyone expected", and it looks like "the reunion is on", while the announcement of a tour is expected "very soon".
All original members, including saxophonist Steve Norman, guitarist Gary Kemp, bassist and brother Martin Kemp, drummer John Keeble, and lead singer Tony Hadley are to return for this comeback tour, more than 10 years after they last performed together.
Previously, lead singer Tony Hadley had left the band in 2018, revealing that he left "due to circumstances beyond my control". He was replaced by Ross William Wild, who subsequently left in 2019, before being later convicted for a series of sexual offences.
Following this, Martin Kemp said that Spandau Ballet would not reunite without Hadley.
Following their Spandau Ballet days, the Kemp brothers enjoyed huge success on the screens, starring as legendary crime twins, Roger and Reggie Kray in the 1990 film, The Krays. Martin Kemp also starred as Steve Owen in EastEnders.
Speaking of the Kemp family, Martin and his son Roman are to embark on a number of road trips across Ireland for a new TV show, Martin & Roman's Irish Road Trip.
The show will air on Virgin Media, and will see the father and son duo begin in Cork, before heading over to Dublin and Meath, ahead of a trip up north for their final episode. More on this story here.
