The Script have announced two Dublin dates at the 3Arena as part of their upcoming UK and European arena tour — while also releasing their brand new single, ‘Man In The Arena’.
The Irish band will play the 3Arena on Friday 30th October and Saturday 31st October 2026, before heading north for a Belfast show at the SSE Arena on Monday 2nd November.
Special guest James Morrison will join the band for both the Dublin and Belfast dates.
The tour announcement comes alongside news of the band’s upcoming album, ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human’, which is set for release on 14th August 2026.
The album’s lead single, ‘Man In The Arena’, dropped today and marks the beginning of what the band are calling a new era.
Frontman Danny O’Donoghue said music has always been how he processes difficult moments in life.
“Most people will never fully understand the relationship I have with words and music. It's how I process everything. I love music, I love words, and I love being Irish.”
He also reflected on how personal struggles shaped his songwriting over the years.
“When I was bullied in school, I never fought back. I'd wait until I got home and I'd try and sing as high and as powerfully as I could, letting the pain feel every note. When my father died, that grief became fuel for the best songs I could write.”
The upcoming album follows 2024’s ‘Satellites’, which was heavily influenced by the grief surrounding the death of bandmate Mark Sheehan in 2023.
According to Danny, the new single was inspired in part by a famous speech from former US President Theodore Roosevelt.
“He talks about how honours don't belong to the critics. They don't belong to the people sitting on the couch, laughing at the person in the ring stumbling and falling around. The honours belong to the one who gets in there and whose face is marred with dust and blood.”
The Script is also releasing a new album, ‘The User’s Guide To Being Human.’ The full tracklist has been released.
Tickets for the Dublin dates go on general sale at 9:30am on Friday 29th May, with prices ranging from €57.35 to €98.75 including booking fee. Fans who pre-order the album through the band’s official store will get access to a pre-sale beginning on Wednesday 27th May at 9:30am.
The Script have sold more than 5 million albums worldwide, achieved six UK number one albums and eight Irish number one albums, while their music has surpassed 14 billion streams globally.
