Fans of Justin Bieber were given a surprise blast of nostalgia over the weekend as the pop star staged a secret, one-night-only concert in Hollywood, marking his first full live show in nearly four years.
The intimate, invite-only performance took place at The Roxy Theatre on March 29th, with the show widely believed to serve as a rehearsal ahead of his upcoming headline slot at Coachella later this month.
Dubbed “Bieberchella” by fans online, the return to the stage has reignited excitement around the singer following a prolonged break from touring.
Late to post but Justin Bieber had a private LA show. No phones allowed and his son jack was in attendance with Hailey…. Fomo is real! I’ve been dreaming of seeing Justin since I was 5. I’m 22 now so 17 years and counting until I cross seeing Justin perform off my bucket list https://t.co/ZcMZnwYLk8

Despite the hype, longtime fans may have been surprised by the setlist. Across a 25-song performance, Bieber avoided all of his earlier chart-topping hits — meaning no “Baby”, “Sorry”, or “Love Yourself” — instead focusing entirely on material from his 2025 releases, SWAG and SWAG II.
The set leaned heavily into newer tracks, many of which were performed live for the first time, before closing with singles “YUKON” and “DAISIES”.
The decision to sidestep his back catalogue comes after Bieber sold the rights to his music catalogue in 2023 for a reported $200 million, though the move does not prevent him from performing those songs.
Still, the choice signals a clear effort to reintroduce himself artistically and shift attention toward his more recent work rather than relying on the hits that first defined his career.

According to eyewitnesses, Bieber “sounded incredible” during the stripped-back show, with a small but supportive crowd in attendance.
Among them was his wife, Hailey Bieber, who was spotted watching from a balcony alongside their son, Jack Blues. While the event was billed as a no-phones performance, clips quickly surfaced online, fuelling renewed buzz among fans.
The low-key concert follows another headline-grabbing appearance earlier this year, when Bieber performed at the Grammy Awards, delivering a minimalist rendition of “YUKON”.
His return to live performance now appears to be gathering pace ahead of his Coachella set on April 11th, which is expected to mark his biggest stage appearance in years.
For many, the Roxy show felt like a reset moment — a chance for Bieber to reconnect with his audience on his own terms. And while the biggest hits were notably absent, the reaction suggests that “Bieber Fever” may be far from over.
