Lady Gaga has shared her new single, 'The Dead Dance' from Wednesday season two.
The singer had previously announced plans to put together new track for this series last week. She plays Rosaline Rotwood in the second half of the new season, which arrived on Netflix today.
The track was written by Lady Gaga, alongside Henry Walter and Andrew Watt. Gaga also co produced it alongside Watt and Cirkut. The latter pair had worked previously worked with the singer on 'Mayhem'.
In the music video, which you can check out below, Lady Gaga can be heard calling on listeners to "do the dead dance" over an infectious baseline, as well as 'Thriller'- esque synths and licks on electric guitar.
“You’ve created a creature of the night/ Now I’m haunting your air, your soul, your eyes,” Gaga sings. The singer can be heard saying: “Yeah, I’ll keep on dancin’ until I’m dead (Dead)/
I’ll dance until I’m dead".
An official music video for 'The Dead Dance' will premiere at 5pm on YouTube, directed by executive producer, Tim Burton.
“I had a wonderful time working on Wednesday season two, even just being a small part of the show", Lady Gaga said of season two of the Netflix hit. “I loved working with Tim Burton and Jenna [Ortega], and everyone here, it’s so incredible. Thank you. I’m also here to confirm my song ‘The Dead Dance’ is coming".
Last month, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars led the nominations for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, alongside Sabrina Carpenter, Kendrick Lamar, and Billie EIlish. More on this here.
