Mumford & Sons played a surprise, last minute "unplugged" show in Brooklyn last night.
This comes as the band have released their latest studio album, 'Prizefighter' last Friday (20 February) via Island Records. They are currently in New York, preparing to be the musical guests on this week's Saturday Night Live.
Mumford & Sons shared a video on Instagram, telling their fans that they would be playing an impromptu and unplugged show at the Musical Hall in Williamsburg in Brooklyn, where they urged them to come to the venue at 8pm on a first come first serve basis.
Footage, which you can check out below, shows the one off performance from Mumford & Sons, with frontman Marcus Mumford revealing that the show only came about after they found out about the venue was free at the last minute.

Earlier this week, Marcus Mumford revealed that he wrote the band's track Alley Cat in a prison.
In a recent interview, Mumford revealed: "Alley Cat, I wrote in a prison actually. I go into prison and do poetry workshops and that came out of one of those sessions with the lads. Which I felt slightly conflicted about to start with"..
Mumford also said that he was inspired to do volunteering work in jail due to his "love of local communities".
"I like being present in the place where you live", he added. "If all of us were defined by the worst thing we ever did, we’d all be f***ed".
