Five luxury Irish hotels have been named among the best in the world after earning a place on the inaugural Condé Nast Traveler Triple Crown list for 2026.
The prestigious new ranking combines properties that have achieved recognition across the publication's three most respected hotel awards programmes — the Hot List, which highlights the world's best new hotels, the Gold List, featuring editor favourites, and the Readers' Choice Awards, which are voted for by travellers.
Among the properties to make the global list are Ballyfin Demesne in Co Laois, Adare Manor in Co Limerick, Powerscourt Hotel in Co Wicklow, The Merrion in Dublin, and Cashel Palace in Co Tipperary.

Set against the backdrop of the Wicklow Mountains, Powerscourt Hotel has become one of Ireland's most recognisable luxury destinations. The resort previously featured in Condé Nast Traveler's Readers' Choice Awards in 2017, 2024 and 2025, with its striking architecture and scenic surroundings helping to make it a favourite among visitors.
Reacting to the recognition, General Manager Eamonn Casey said: "We are incredibly honoured to be recognised as part of Condé Nast Traveller's inaugural Triple Crown collection. To receive distinction across all three of these globally respected awards reflects the dedication of our team, the continued support of our loyal guests, and our commitment to continually evolving the Powerscourt experience while remaining true to the exceptional setting, service and standards that define the resort.

In the heart of the capital, The Merrion secured its place on the list thanks to its blend of luxury, history and fine dining. Home to the two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, the hotel has long been a favourite among visiting celebrities and international guests. Condé Nast Traveler praised its "composed, thoughtful, and historic" atmosphere.

Meanwhile, Cashel Palace in Co Tipperary was recognised for its exceptional approach to luxury hospitality. Housed within a mansion dating back more than 300 years, the property was originally built in 1732 as the residence of the Archbishop of Cashel and is regarded as one of Ireland's finest examples of Palladian architecture. The publication also highlighted the hotel's spa facilities, including its popular seaweed bath treatment.

Ballyfin Demesne, often described as one of Ireland's most exclusive country house hotels, also made the prestigious list. The property has welcomed a number of high-profile guests over the years, including Kim Kardashian and Kanye West following their wedding celebrations. Condé Nast Traveler compared a stay at the Laois estate to being "in an exquisite gilt-framed piece of art" thanks to its grand interiors and historic charm.

Adare Manor, Limerick, Ireland
Completing the Irish contingent is Adare Manor, the luxury resort in Co Limerick that is preparing to host the 2027 Ryder Cup. Situated in one of Ireland's most picturesque villages, the hotel is renowned for its immaculate grounds, world-class golf facilities and Michelin-starred Oak Room restaurant. The publication praised the property's focus on tranquillity, quality and attention to detail.
The inclusion of five Irish hotels on the inaugural Triple Crown list underlines Ireland's growing reputation as a destination for luxury travel, with properties across the country continuing to attract recognition from some of the most influential names in global tourism.
