Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway To Finish Up Following 20 Series Run

Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway will sign off its 20th series, with an extended live show, featuring celebrity guests next month.

Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly had previously confirmed plans to step away from the show at the end of the current series, as they feel it is the "perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath".

Ahead of the finale to this series, Donnelly promised a "real celebration of Saturday Night Takeaway over the years".

"We're honoured and touched that for 20 series it’s been part of Saturday night TV viewing for so many families across the country", he added. "We’re giving it (and us!) a rest for now, but we’ll take away and treasure some very special memories and moments. We will most certainly miss it".

The duo had launched this entertainment show in 2002, before taking a break from 2009 to 2013, while they worked on other projects.

While he could not believe that this was nearly the end, Ant McPartlin said that he is looking forward to making this last show "a party to end all parties".

"The SNT production team have been working non stop to ensure this special, two hour finale has that SNT magic from start to finish", he explained.

Katie Rawcliffe, Head of entertainment commissioning for ITV, also said, "There’s nothing quite like live event Saturday night TV all the family can enjoy together in the moment – and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, for the past 20 series, has been at the very forefront of this genre".

"Over 90% of the UK population has watched Takeaway across the past 20 series and just like the rest of the nation, I couldn’t be more excited for this special final show which promises to be a real celebration".

Get Out Of My Ear: The Revenge

Looking to get their revenge on the pair following years of pranking on their show, Girls Aloud, Kaiser Chiefs, S Club, TV star Scarlett Moffat will take part in the Get Out Of My Ear: The Revenge segment at this finale on April 13.

The segment will feature other stars, Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell, Dermot O'Leary, Holly Willoughby, and Alison Hammond.

Craig David, Oti Mabuse, Rylan Clark, Richard Madeley, Cheryl, Olly Murs, Gino D'Acampo, Ashley Roberts, Andi Peters, Tony Hadley and Jordon North will also take part in the segment.

The finale will also see either Ant or Dec crowned the winner of weekly trials including a "super-sized singalong", and studio games, as well as a montage of SNT best bits.
