Céline Dion has revealed that she is conserving her energy as she prepares for her long-awaited return to the stage in Paris.

The singer is currently staying in the French capital as she gets ready for a series of concerts, with her first show set to take place later this month.

Céline has been enjoying meeting some of her fans during her stay, with a group of admirers gathering outside her hotel to see her.

During a conversation with fans, she was asked whether she planned to explore more of Paris while she is there.

While Céline admitted that she would “love” to make the most of the city, she explained that her priority is preparing for her performances.

I’m so happy to be here. I’m trying to keep all my energy to give the best,” she said.

If I start going out everywhere I’d like to go, that wouldn’t be professional. I have to keep my energy to work and put on a show.”

The singer also mentioned the heat in Paris as another reason she is being careful with her energy.

Despite her busy rehearsal schedule, Céline said she does hope to enjoy some of the city during her stay, including going “to the restaurant” and “seeing shows”.

The excitement surrounding her return is already clear, with Céline also discovering that some fans are planning to attend a huge number of her upcoming performances.

One fan told her they were hoping to see her 16 times, leaving the singer amused.

I’m sorry, but sixteen times... that’s still... sixteen shows!” she joked.

Céline is preparing to return to the stage after more than six years away from performing.

She will play a series of 16 concerts in Paris, with shows taking place three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

A further 10 performances are planned for May 2027, bringing the total number of concerts to 26.

The comeback marks an important moment for Céline, who has been forced to step away from performing after being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition.

The singer has been open about the challenges the condition has caused her and her determination to get back on stage.

Now, with rehearsals underway, Céline is making sure she has enough energy to give her fans the performances they have been waiting years to see.
