A number of props and costumes from hit TV series, Downtown Abbey, have gone on display ahead of an auction next month.
The items in question include the wedding dress which was worn by Lady Mary Crawley, which is a pale apricot long-sleeved dress with beaded lace tabard overlay and ruched sash. A pair of ivory satin Mary Jane shows and accessorised with a tiara and silk tulle veil are also among the items going on display at Bonhams Auction house.
This was an an outfit which was worn by actress Mary Dockery for Lady Mary's wedding to Dan Stevens' character Matthew Crawley. The outfit is expected to sell for between £3,000 and £5,000 at this auction.
Elsewhere, the Grantham family car, a 1925 Sunbeam Saloon is expected to fetch for between £25,000 and £35,000 under the hammer, alongside the peacock dress worn by Lady Edith in the opening episode of season four, which saw her and Michael Gregson meet at the Criterion in Piccadilly. Lady Edith was played by Laura Carmichael.
This dress which is expected to sell for between £2,000 and £3,000 at the auction, includes a bodice of turquoise, silver, gold and faux-pearl beads and sequinning with a turquoise and crinkled chiffon skirt.
Other items on the agenda include the distinctive bell from the servants' hall, as well as script from series one, signed by cast members including, Hugh Bonneville, Samantha Bond and the late Maggie Smith.
The items will be in on display at a free exhibition at Bonhams sale room in London until September 16. Proceeds from this auction will go to Together for Short Lives, which supports children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
The third film from the series, Downtown Abbey: The Grand Finale will arrive on cinema screens in Ireland and the UK on September 12.
