Hannah Waddingham has revealed she is in a new relationship after spending the last eight years single.
The Ted Lasso star opened up about her love life during a new interview with Women’s Health UK, admitting she finally feels ready to focus on herself again after years dedicated to raising her daughter.
Waddingham, 51, shares daughter Kitty with former partner Gianluca Cugnetto. The pair split when Kitty was just two years old, with the actress later describing herself as a proud single mother.

Since then, the Emmy-winning actress has largely kept her private life out of the spotlight while balancing motherhood with a hugely successful acting career.
“It’s taken me eight years,” she told the magazine when asked about entering a new relationship.
“I didn’t really have the space mentally or emotionally for that.”
The actress explained that her focus had remained firmly on her daughter and rebuilding her own confidence following the breakdown of her relationship.
“I’ve hunkered down and focused on my girl and me,” she said. “[But] now I’m ready to stick my head above the parapet a bit more.”
When asked whether the “parapet” in question was good-looking, Waddingham burst out laughing before confirming: “It is!”
“And it’s really lovely too, obviously, my relationship,” she added. “But the best thing about it is, firstly, being happy and strong in myself.”
Waddingham’s profile has soared in recent years following her breakout role as Rebecca Welton in Ted Lasso alongside Jason Sudeikis.

Her performance earned widespread acclaim, including a Primetime Emmy Award, and transformed her into one of the most recognisable stars on television.
Before finding mainstream fame onscreen, Waddingham spent years working in musical theatre and became well known for major West End productions including Spamalot and The Wizard of Oz.
She has also appeared in major franchises including Game of Thrones and The Fall Guy.
Last year, Waddingham additionally won praise for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, where she became a fan favourite thanks to her humour and multilingual presenting style.
