There's some very exciting news for House Of The Dragon fans as the show has already been renewed for a fourth season, before season three has even been released.
The much-loved Game Of Thrones prequel will officially premiere its third season in summer 2026, and HBO has revealed that it will be back for a season four in 2028, according to Deadline.
Meanwhile, another Game Of Thrones spin-off, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, has been renewed for a second season ahead of its series premiere in January 2026.
Francesca Orsi, EVP, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series and Films, said in a statement: 'We are thrilled to be able to deliver new seasons of these two series for the next three years, for the legion of fans of the Game of Thrones universe.
'Together, House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms reveal just how expansive and richly imagined George R. R. Martin’s universe continues to be.
'In January, I think audiences will be delighted by the inspiring underdog tale of Dunk and Egg that George and Ira Parker have so beautifully captured. And this Summer, House of the Dragon is set to ignite once again with some of its most epic battles yet.'
House Of The Dragons is based on George RR Martin's series of novels 'A Song Of Ice And Fire' and became a fan favourite after the huge success of season one, detailing the history of House Targaryen.
Season one followed Emma D'Arcy's Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen as she fought to be crowned the chosen heir of King Viserys I (Patty Considine) and the build-up to the war of succession between the Targaryens. Meanwhile, season two left fans on a cliffhanger as it finished on the brink of a major war.
