Katie Price has broken her silence after being hit with her seventh driving ban, blaming a member of staff for failing to handle important legal correspondence — but the latest incident comes after a long and well-documented history of motoring offences.

The former glamour model said she only discovered the ban through media reports, insisting she would have responded had she received official letters.

Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast, she said she was “furious” about the situation and claimed an assistant failed to update her address properly, meaning key documents never reached her.

“If you want to know the truth, I found out I was banned by the papers… I am actually livid about that, because if I'd got the letters, I would have replied to it,” she said.

The latest ban stems from an incident in North Yorkshire, where a car registered in her name was recorded travelling at 80mph, resulting in a reported £1,000 (€930) fine and another disqualification.

However, this is far from an isolated case.

Price has faced repeated driving offences over the years, with her record stretching back more than a decade and including speeding, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.

One of her most high-profile cases came in 2021, when she was handed a 16-week suspended jail sentence after crashing her car while disqualified, uninsured, and under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The incident, which saw her BMW overturned near her home, led to a two-year driving ban and mandatory rehabilitation requirements.

Prior to that, she had already accumulated multiple bans due to penalty points, often linked to speeding offences. In 2019, she was disqualified for six months after exceeding the 12-point limit on her licence, a threshold she has hit more than once.

Her repeated offences have made her one of the most high-profile repeat driving offenders in the UK, with courts previously warning her about her ongoing disregard for road safety laws.

Judges in earlier cases noted a pattern of behaviour, with Price frequently returning to driving despite disqualifications.

Despite her frustration, the reality is that a seventh driving ban places her in an increasingly serious category of repeat offenders — one that courts tend to treat with progressively stricter consequences.
