Shane Lowry has dedicated his record-breaking Irish Open victory to his daughter after securing an incredible 11-shot win in Doonbeg.
The Offaly golfer produced a stunning performance at Trump International Golf Links to claim his seventh DP World Tour title and his first individual victory in four years.
But it was what Lowry said after lifting the trophy that provided one of the most emotional moments of the weekend.

Speaking to Sky Sports Golf after his victory, Lowry became emotional as he spoke about his family, who were back home in Florida.
“My mum is standing just there, it's been unreal. My wife and my kids are back in Florida,” he said.
“When things are not going well at this level, it's hard at home as well, but my wife's been a huge support and my kids. I love them so much, I'm so happy to win this for them.”

Lowry had been going through a difficult spell in his career, having slipped outside the world's top 50 after missing out on the second leg of the FedEx Cup Playoffs last month.
But he responded in spectacular fashion at the Irish Open.
He took control of the tournament with a course-record 62 on Friday before carrying a four-shot lead into Sunday's final round.
There was little sign of nerves as Lowry extended his advantage with birdies at the 1st, 5th, 7th and 8th holes.
He reached the turn seven shots ahead before continuing to pull away on the back nine.
A brilliant 29-foot birdie putt on the 18th completed a closing 63 and left Lowry at 23-under par for the tournament.
His 11-shot victory broke the previous Irish Open record of 10 shots, set by Bernhard Langer in 1987.

The win also comes at an important time for Lowry, with qualification now underway for Luke Donald's 2027 Ryder Cup team, which will be hosted at Adare Manor.
Lowry admitted the mental side of the game had been difficult after several missed opportunities earlier in the season.
“I went out this morning and I went out to win this tournament. That's what I did,” he said.
He had also watched Katie Taylor receive an extraordinary reception from the crowd at Croke Park during her final fight the previous weekend.
Lowry admitted he felt envious watching Taylor celebrate in front of her home fans.
A week later, he got his own chance to experience a home victory.

Lowry won the Irish Open as an amateur in 2009 before going on to win The Open at Royal Portrush in 2019.
He also took home almost €879,000 in prize money, along with a $30,000 bonus for his course-record 62.
The Irish Open trophy was presented to Lowry by U.S. President Donald Trump, who hosted the tournament at his Doonbeg golf course.
But for Lowry, the most important part of the victory was bringing the trophy home to his family.

He revealed that his daughter had repeatedly asked him when he was going to bring one home.
“I can't wait to bring a trophy home,” he said.
*“My daughter always asks me, ‘When are you going to bring a trophy home?’
“So yes, I'm going to bring one home.”*
After a difficult period, Lowry now has the answer she had been waiting for.
