A child has suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision in County Clare earlier this week.
This collision took place on the L8192 Bealkelly in Ogonnelloe in Clare on Monday evening at 6pm, which involved the child who was on a motorcycle and a tractor.
A Garda spokesperson said: "The juvenile sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Galway University Hospital before being transferred to Crumlin Children's Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be serious".
The scene has been examined by a forensic team, which has since been completed, and the road has been reopened.
News of this comes following a collision which left nine people injured along the M50, involving two cars, with Gardaí later confirmed that one of the cars which was carrying eight teenagers, was stolen. One of the teenagers was left in a critical condition.
It was also confirmed that the driver of the other car, was being treated for serious injuries.
