Saoirse Ronan has been spotted filming Sam Mendes’ upcoming Beatles biopic alongside fellow Irish star Paul Mescal.
The Oscar-nominated actress was recently seen on set in character as Linda McCartney, giving fans another glimpse at her highly anticipated role in the ambitious project.
Ronan was spotted filming a scene with Mescal, who plays Beatles legend Paul McCartney.
A young actress was also seen with the pair and appeared to be playing the McCartneys' daughter Heather.

The exact location of the filming has not been confirmed, although Liverpool and London have both been linked to the production.
The latest sighting comes as more footage from the huge Beatles project continues to emerge.
A new TikTok posted by lifestyle brand Free Soul also appears to show Barry Keoghan filming in character as Ringo Starr. The Dublin actor can be seen dressed as the legendary Beatles drummer while filming on a street.

The footage appears to have been filmed in London, although this has not been confirmed.
Keoghan, Mescal and Ronan are among a major cast assembled for Sam Mendes’ The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event.
The project will see four interconnected films tell the story of the Fab Four, with each movie focusing on one member of the band. Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Keoghan will portray Ringo Starr, Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon and Joseph Quinn will take on the role of George Harrison.

Ronan's casting as Linda McCartney was confirmed following months of speculation.
She will star alongside Aimee Lou Wood, who plays George Harrison's partner Pattie Boyd. Anna Sawai will portray Yoko Ono, while Mia McKenna-Bruce will play Maureen Starkey, Ringo's wife.
Ronan's involvement marks another major role for the Irish actress, who has received four Oscar nominations during her career. Her character Linda McCartney was an important figure in Paul McCartney's life.
The pair married in 1969, shortly after the Beatles' final years together, and remained together until Linda's death in 1998.
Ronan will therefore be playing a key figure in McCartney's personal story, while Mescal takes on the role of the music icon himself.

Mescal has previously spoken about the huge responsibility of portraying McCartney. He has said it is an “unbelievable privilege” to have received what felt like the musician's blessing for the role.
The Maynooth actor has also confirmed that he will do his own singing in the films. “He’s the most brilliant man,” Mescal previously said of McCartney. “I feel emotionally attached to him. He received me with great kindness and warmth.”

Keoghan has also opened up about filming as Ringo. The Dublin actor said the production has been “incredible” and praised the close-knit atmosphere on set.
“It’s such a big family out there, and it’s such a big movie, but it has that indie soul to it,” he said.
Keoghan has previously described filming in Liverpool as an emotional experience.
“We’re up in Liverpool filming now, so that’s sort of a thing in itself,” he said. “The feeling and the response up there — it’s beautiful. It hits you every time.”

The actor also recalled seeing the famous Beatles statue in Liverpool. “I’m very emotional about it,” he said. “And sort of like, wanting to do them well and justice.”
Mendes' ambitious project is expected to explore the Beatles' rise from their early days in Liverpool to worldwide fame.
The four films will offer different perspectives on the band's story, rather than condensing their career into a single movie. The project also has the full approval of the surviving Beatles and the estates of the late members.
The four films are due to be released in April 2028.
