Gardaí have launched an investigation following the death of a man after an incident at a residence in Foxdene Drive, Balgaddy, Co. Dublin, late last night.

The incident occurred shortly after 11pm on Wednesday, 25th June. A man in his 50s sustained serious injuries and was taken to Tallaght University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

A post-mortem examination is expected to take place in the coming days. The local coroner has been notified, and the scene remains sealed off for a forensic examination by the Garda Technical Bureau.

The investigation is being led by a Senior Investigating Officer based at Lucan Garda Station.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses and are particularly keen to speak with anyone who was in the Foxdene Drive area between 11pm and 12am. They are also urging road users or pedestrians who may have dashcam or mobile footage from the area during that time to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Lucan Garda Station on (01) 666 7300, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Investigations are ongoing.
