Britney Spears has said that she feels "bitter" about how she was treated as a young artist, claiming that she worked "seven days a weeks for 15 years".
The singer shared a video on Instagram, where she offered an insight into her life as pop star and the pain she endured during her conservatorship which was began in 2008, before the controversial arrangement ended in November 2021.
In a video, where she can be seen wearing lingerie, Spears is heard saying the following.
"I will admit it, I wasn't crazy I used to be f**king literally insane, but the ironic part is there's a madness and a constant rush of just sitting still with the way my heart used to work," she wrote. "Yes, I'm bitter, all the hours, seconds, time, and secretly, subconsciously knowing my capabilities as a woman. And never even able to fly somewhere just to meet a friend, as I worked seven days a week for 15 years".
Spears then went on to mention when she held her first "one dollar bill" and how she started travelling on her own five years year ago.
"I've traveled the past six years alone, besides one trip with a friend...15 times a year, with two weeks on each trip that's a lot of alone time, and I started to wonder, is that healthy," the 44-year-old mused. "Then I woke up this morning and said, 'I'm gonna stop questioning myself and let my own legs and spirit be my guide...'".
Elsewhere Britney Spears also seemingly reflected on her relationship with spirituality.
"Maybe there is a God... Maybe He wants to be selfish with me, and He likes me alone, and that's when it clicked... I need a new pair of shoes (sic)," she added.
Representatives for Britney Spears have yet to comment on this post.
