Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter and Doja Cat have been confirmed among the key names leading the 2026 Met Gala, with Beyoncé set to co-chair fashion’s biggest night alongside Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams.
The announcement was made on Wednesday morning, with Vogue revealing the trio in a video set to Claude Debussy’s Clair de Lune. The clip also unveiled next year’s theme — “Costume Art” — accompanied by an image of a white curtain drifting against a marble backdrop.

According to Vogue, the 2026 gala will celebrate the Met Costume Institute’s spring exhibition of the same name, curated by Andrew Bolton, which will explore the relationship between clothing and the body through a series of thematic forms, including the Naked Body, the Pregnant Body and the Ageing Body.
Alongside the three main co-chairs, Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz will head the Host Committee. Members confirmed so far include Sabrina Carpenter, LISA of BLACKPINK, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, A’ja Wilson and Yseult.
The news marks Beyoncé’s long-awaited return to the Met steps. The 35-time Grammy winner hasn’t attended the gala since 2016, when she wore a peach latex Givenchy Haute Couture gown for the “Manus x Machina” theme. Previous years saw her deliver some of her most memorable looks — including the sheer, jewel-encrusted dress for 2015’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” and the dramatic black ensemble worn for 2014’s “Charles James: Beyond Fashion.”
