Britney Spears has reportedly caused concern during a night out at a Los Angeles restaurant, just days after leaving rehab and resolving her recent DUI case.
According to reports from TMZ, the singer was involved in what eyewitnesses described as a chaotic scene during a visit to the Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks on Wednesday night. Sources claimed the atmosphere inside the restaurant became tense after Spears allegedly appeared agitated, with diners reporting that she raised her voice and, at times, made barking sounds.
One particularly alarming moment reportedly saw Spears walking through the restaurant while holding a knife, leaving some patrons worried that someone could accidentally get hurt. Staff members were also said to have stepped in after she allegedly lit a cigarette near the entrance.
The incident comes only days after the pop icon emerged from a rehabilitation programme following her March arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Earlier this month, Spears avoided jail time after pleading guilty to a lesser offence known in California as “wet reckless”, a reduced charge linked to alcohol or drug-related driving offences. Prosecutors dismissed the original DUI charge following a hearing in Ventura County.
The singer was sentenced to 12 months of informal probation and must comply with a number of court-ordered conditions, including attending DUI education classes, continuing mental health treatment and submitting to vehicle searches if requested by law enforcement.

Spears had originally been arrested on March 4, 2026, after authorities claimed she was driving her BMW “erratically at a high rate of speed” on a southern California highway.
Following the arrest, Spears voluntarily entered a rehabilitation treatment facility. At the time, her representatives described the incident as “completely inexcusable”.
Her lawyer, Michael Goldstein, later confirmed that prosecutors agreed to reduce the charge after acknowledging what he described as positive changes Spears had made since the incident.
“Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct,” Goldstein said in a statement. “She has taken significant steps to implement positive change which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney's decision to reduce the charge in this case and dismiss the DUI.”
Following her release from rehab, Spears returned to social media with an Instagram post showing herself alongside her children at a pet store. In the caption, she reflected on what she described as a “spiritual journey” in the wake of her legal troubles.

“Snakes are symbolic of good health, higher consciousness, and pure luck … I’m so damn thankful to my friends and so many new beautiful people I have met through my spiritual journey,” she wrote.
She also spoke candidly about her ongoing struggles with self-worth and personal growth.
“All a blessing in disguise. I still have to learn how to be kind to myself and the way I speak to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile on!!!!” Spears added.
The singer’s arrest and rehab stay reportedly came amid wider changes in her personal support system. Sources close to the star previously claimed that Spears had recently parted ways with several sober coaches and security staff, prompting her team to reassess how best to support her moving forward.
“Britney recently let go of her sober coaches and security guards,” a source said at the time. “Her team is helping her reconfigure things and sorting out healthy ways to support her, including mental health services and detox programs.”
The latest reports from the restaurant outing are likely to reignite concerns among fans over Spears’ wellbeing as she continues navigating life after rehab and ongoing public scrutiny.
