Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau recently travelled to Japan for an official engagement.
They were attending an engagement in the country, where they met the former Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, who confirmed this news via Instagram yesterday.
"Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau came to Japan with his partner, Katy Perry, and had lunch with us", Kishida wrote. "During my time as Prime Minister, I met Prime Ministers many times, and when I visited Canada, we worked together to strengthen bilateral relations, including formulating the Nikka Action Plan. I am glad that we are continuing this friendship".
"Canada is an extremely important partner to Japan in all areas of politics, security, economics, culture, et cetera," Kishida concluded. "We will continue to work hard for friendship and cooperation between Japan and Canada".
The singer recently confirmed her relationship with the former Canadian Prime Minister after they made their first public appearance in Paris back in October. Perry had announced earlier this year that her relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom had ended after 6 years together.
Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had announced that his marriage to wife Sophie Greégoire had ended back in 2023.
