Kim Kardashian has been awarded €1 in damages for gunpoint robbery.
The US reality TV star was awarde one euro from the thieves who tied her up at gunpoint in a hotel in Paris in 2016. They stole her jewels, including an engagement ring worth $4 million.
Kim Kardashian sought a symbolic sum in a civil damages case against several people convicted in May 2025 over the armed robbery at a Paris hotel, according to a lawyer representing the hotel receptionist, who was also a plaintiff.
Kardashian told the court that she feared for her life during the 2016 ordeal.
The attackers, dubbed the “Grandpa Robbers” because of their ages, wore ski masks and posed as police officers during the raid, which was described at the time as France’s biggest jewellery robbery in 20 years.
Most of the stolen jewellery has never been recovered, including the engagement ring Kardashian received from her then husband, rapper Kanye West, now known as Ye.
The hotel receptionist sought €500,000 in damages and was awarded around €110,000, his lawyer said via Reuters.
During the 2025 trial, Kardashian told Aomar Ait Khedache, identified as the mastermind of the robbery and then aged 69, that she forgave him.
She added that forgiveness did not diminish the trauma caused by the incident.
Khedache was sentenced to three years in prison, while seven other defendants were convicted of offences linked to the robbery.
