Off Campus showrunner Louisa Levy has denied claims that there was an $80,000 gender pay gap between the show's two lead actors.

The claim began circulating online after a clip from In the Vault suggested that season one stars Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli had a significant difference in their reported salaries.

The post claimed Bright earned $160,000 for the season, with an alleged $80,000 difference between the two leads.

Levy responded directly in the comments, rejecting the figures.

"Check your sources," she wrote. "These numbers are far from correct. While this is absolutely an issue in the industry, as a female showrunner I fight for gender pay parity in my cast."

Fans praised Levy's response, with one commenter writing: "Tell em queen."

The comments come as Off Campus continues to grow in popularity following its debut on Amazon Prime Video.

Based on Elle Kennedy's bestselling book series, the college romance drama follows a group of university students and hockey players at the fictional Briar University, exploring their friendships, relationships and personal struggles.

The series has become one of Prime Video's biggest recent successes, reportedly attracting 36 million viewers worldwide within its first 12 days.

Amazon has said the show became the platform's biggest debut among women aged 18 to 34, while also ranking as one of its biggest opening series launches overall.

The popularity of the show led to a season two renewal before the first season had even premiered.

Meanwhile, two other cast members recently made headlines after sparking romance rumours off screen.
