Man (60s) Dies After Four-Vehicle Collision In Tipperary

A man in his 60s has tragically died following a collision involving four vehicles in Co Tipperary yesterday evening.

The collision occurred on the R688 at Cooper's Lot in Cashel at around 5.40pm and involved a van and three cars.

The 60 year old man was a driver of one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the scene. A post-mortem examination is to be conducted at University Hospital Waterford.

A man in his 40s was driving the van, he was seriously injured in the collision and is currently being treated at Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel.

No other injuries have been reported.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward with any information that could assist the investigation.

Drivers who were travelling in the Cooper’s Lot area of Cashel, Co Tipperary, between 5pm and 6pm yesterday and who may have captured footage, including dash-cam footage, are asked to provide it to Gardaí.
