While the post offered no details about what fans can expect, the imagery used in the teaser quickly captured attention. The video was filmed outside London's St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, a location closely associated with the group's history and instantly recognisable to long-time followers.
The fictional advertisement in the teaser recounts the Spice Girls as "widley successful, global, choreographed, singing/dancing, all female pop act with a record nine number ones in the UK and over 100 million global sales." The image was closed with "no sheet music required, but you will need a vinyl or CD player" fuelling speculation about a physical music release.
Adding to the intrigue, the teaser features the opening notes of Wannabe, the chart-topping debut single that launched the Spice Girls to international fame in 1996. The song recently marked its 30th anniversary, making the choice of soundtrack appear anything but accidental.
