The "enforcer" and a drug dealer of the O'Donoghue crime gang are due to be sentenced for their part in the Limerick shootings.
On Monday, the Special Criminal Court heard that John O'Donovan is an "enforcer" for the O'Donoghue criminal gang.
According to reports, the criminal gang are involved in drug dealing in Limerick on a large scale.
It was also revealed in court that Shane Blackhall was the driver of the vehicle that crashed after shots were fired last year, according to Breakingnews.ie.
The arrest of the two men follows the investigation into the violent feud between the O'Donoghue criminal gang and another crrime organisation. The said feud has resulted in a number of explosive attacks and around 36 shootings.
On January 6th, Blackhall pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm, giving reasonable suspicion that he did not obtain it for a lawful purpose. Then on June 1st, Blackhall was further charged for unlawfully using a vehicle without consent from the owner.
O'Donovan has pleaded guilty to a charge of participating in or contributing to the possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. The 19-year-old also faces three other charges of unlawfully using a mechanically propelled vehicle without consent from the owner and a charge of arson.
